Rowdy and Amumu

Friendly, smart outdoor cat needs a new home. Rowdy is a 5 year old silver tabby who is energetic, cuddly and assertive. She loves to explore outdoors and is great at catching mice (and birds). Her current parents moved and the new neighbours are not accommodating of cats and they fear for her safety. They’ve tried keeping her as an indoor cat but she is unhappy and craves the fresh air. She is a very smart cat. She has lived with one other cat who she gets along great with, but it would likely take her a while to adjust to other cats. She is great with children and is not shy around people. She has never lived with a dog or a different animal before.

She has grown up with a 5 year old cat, Amumu who is one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet. If the new home feels it would be best to keep them together, we would consider adopting Amumu as well. He is shy at first but once you get to know him he is extremely loving and playful. He has gone outdoors at times but is happy and prefers to be an indoor cat. Amumu is a medium-hair black and white tuxedo cat. They are both well behaved, good-manored cats and don’t bite or scratch people, even children who pull their fur and tails.

If you’d like to come and meet them, please contact me to set up a visit. ‪250-889-0461‬. Thank you!

Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer run, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization located in the lower Vancouver Island. We are a group of long time rescuers that have come together to focus on improving the lives of unwanted, neglected and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island (as well as remote communities and other areas of B.C. if our resources allow us to.) Currently we are seeing many pets overlooked in the shelter system because they have less than desirable qualities. They may have medical or behavioral issues or they may simply be the wrong color, age or breed. At Broken Promise Rescue we believe all animals deserve to experience a life without pain, loneliness or hunger and want them to know what it feels like to be loved and cherished, despite appearance, age or medical condition. We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
