Lily, Pippa and Duchess

These kittens all need a patient quiet home and all would love a home with another outgoing cat to show them humans are safe.

Lily, (above) b/w female, quite small, 6month old.   She doesn’t come when I reach out my hand to say hi, but she will rub against my legs when I am putting down the food.  I am able at that time to scoop her up and give her a cuddle, she purrs loudly and rubs her face against my chin.  She doesn’t come to play with toys like the other two and is stand offish, but not at all aggressive.  If someone is looking for a sweet little girl to just have in the house for distance company, then she would be a perfect cat.  Or if you want a buddy for your current cat ? she would need a home without kids as they would be too much for her.

Pippa.. adoption pending

Pippa, (above) grey tabby female, 6month old.  She is a funny, happy cat.  She is letting me get closer and closer to her every day for a pet.  She loves to play with the toys and the wands.  She will climb up onto my outstretched legs to play with the wand and purr and purr, she lets me pet her very tentatively.  She enjoys going out into the cat enclosure at the foster home !

Duchess adoption pending

Duchess, (photos coming) calico female, 6month old.  She is very curious and wants so badly to cuddle me.  She also will get up on my lap to play with the wand but is a little bit behind where Pippa is.  She wants love but is still a bit shy.

Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer run, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization located in the lower Vancouver Island. We are a group of long time rescuers that have come together to focus on improving the lives of unwanted, neglected and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island (as well as remote communities and other areas of B.C. if our resources allow us to.) Currently we are seeing many pets overlooked in the shelter system because they have less than desirable qualities. They may have medical or behavioral issues or they may simply be the wrong color, age or breed. At Broken Promise Rescue we believe all animals deserve to experience a life without pain, loneliness or hunger and want them to know what it feels like to be loved and cherished, despite appearance, age or medical condition. We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
