Jack

He is just so snuggly and sweet. I wrote up a little blurb for the website and some more photos for you to put up.

This is the sweetest cat! Loves to play and wants to be in your arms cuddling like in the photo!

Hi, my name is Jack! I will talk to you all day, every day. Sometimes at night too! My foster mom says I’m the very definition of a velcro kitty. I don’t know what velcro is but I know I like snuggles, and pets and headbutts. My belly is mostly not a trap, and my fur is very soft though I do have lots of it! I’m super scared of sudden noises still, and I am very suspicious of the cat I see in the bathroom (mirror). I’m super shy if I don’t know you, but once you give me some treats or food I figure you can’t be that bad. I had a rough start to life, but I am so so grateful to all the lovely people who rescued me and have given me a warm place to sleep. I love making biscuits on blankets (and my foster mom)!

I’d love to find my furever home with someone who likes having conversations, naps, and lots and lots of pets and snuggles.

This sweet boy is about 5 years old unfortunately his original owner who had him for over a year moved and left him behind and he was left to fend for himself for about 4 years. People in the neighborhood fed him but thankfully somebody finally reached out to ROAM and they were able to get him off the streets and contacted us to take him on. He has definitely been through some battles so he has a few wounds that need to heal but we’ve had him neutered and vaccinated and all checked over and he’s good to go. He does have many injuries to his eyes so they have scars but we think it just makes him more adorable !

Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer run, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization located in the lower Vancouver Island. We are a group of long time rescuers that have come together to focus on improving the lives of unwanted, neglected and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island (as well as remote communities and other areas of B.C. if our resources allow us to.) Currently we are seeing many pets overlooked in the shelter system because they have less than desirable qualities. They may have medical or behavioral issues or they may simply be the wrong color, age or breed. At Broken Promise Rescue we believe all animals deserve to experience a life without pain, loneliness or hunger and want them to know what it feels like to be loved and cherished, despite appearance, age or medical condition. We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
