Monacle

Monacle, he is a young cat, about 1.5 years old. He is quite the character, He is a bit shy to start and takes a few days to warm up but once he trust you and is a big love. He is good with the other kitty in the foster home and wants to play!

Update from the foster home;

Help us find Mr. Monacles a happy and loving furever home!

We’ve had the pleasure of watching Monacle go from super skittish, hiding-under-beds mode, to the most affectionate and loving cat EVER. He loves snuggles, head kisses and looking up at you adoringly. He does not like being told to go easy on his food or to get off the already crowded bed at night. He sleeps with us and Balu, despite the lack of real estate, and loves waking us up with cheek rubs or whiskers on the neck, followed by a mandatory cuddle session.

He’s patient and loving with kids (we’ve tested him on kids ages 4-16 with success) and other cats (not sure about dogs but he’s curious about the neighbour’s), he isnt a furniture destroyer and is an ace at using his litter box and eating everything you put in front of him.

He has a small limp that doesn’t slow him down at all, and only makes him cuter. 1yrs old, neutered and fully inoculated, this indoor boy deserves a forever family and unfortunately we can’t foster him beyond S

Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer run, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization located in the lower Vancouver Island. We are a group of long time rescuers that have come together to focus on improving the lives of unwanted, neglected and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island (as well as remote communities and other areas of B.C. if our resources allow us to.) Currently we are seeing many pets overlooked in the shelter system because they have less than desirable qualities. They may have medical or behavioral issues or they may simply be the wrong color, age or breed. At Broken Promise Rescue we believe all animals deserve to experience a life without pain, loneliness or hunger and want them to know what it feels like to be loved and cherished, despite appearance, age or medical condition. We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
