Kittens

These sweet babies will be ready to go shortly to their forever homes ! They would all love a home with one of the others as they are all bonded or at least go to a home with another young playful cat!

Carlos:

DOB: Feb 28, 2023

Sex: Male

Marking: Tabby

Carlos is truly the baby of the group.  When he was brought into care he was very sick with the flu and ended up with full blown pneumonia.  He was in an incubator with oxygen and being tube fed.  As a result he’s smaller than his siblings but is working hard to make up for lost ground.  Nowadays he’s the first one at the food bowl and waiting to gobble up the pounds!  He’s also very attached to humans (He was separated from his siblings for 2 weeks and being only held and helped by his foster in the first few weeks of life due to this very serious pneumonia).  After eating his fill and playing for a wee bit he will insist on some human cuddle time.  His favourite place is in your lap to have his nap.  He has good litter box manners and eats well, but isn’t the best at grooming himself afterwards so you might find he has a meat mustache you will need to wipe away.  We are posting him with his siblings and going through the process of adoption, but he cannot leave the foster home until he has hit the 2 pound mark.  Most likely this will mean he won’t be ready to leave for his forever home for an additional 2-3 weeks.

Charlie

DOB: Feb 28, 2023

Sex: Male

Marking: Tabby

If Carlos is the baby, Charlie is the leader.  He is the first to run and play.  He will delay nap time until he is absolutely exhausted from playing and zoomies.  Once he settles in, he will snuggle and loves to have his belly rubbed.  He would most defiantly benefits from another active cat in the house to play with.  He can also be somewhat naughty (jumping on the counter) and is super curious about everything.  You’ll need to patiently teach him his manners when it comes to exploration.

He has good litter box manners and eats well.

Cameron – ADOPTED !!

DOB: Feb 28, 2023

Sex: Female

Marking: Tabby

Cameron is a lovely girl.  She is very curious and loves to play.  She is also one of the biggest of the group and loves to eat.  She will snuggle with you, but you have to get all her zoomies out first.  She prefers to sleep on the bed at your feet and would benefit from another active cat in the house to play with.  She has good litter box manners and eats well.

Charlotte – ADOPTED !!

DOB: Feb 14, 2023

Sex: Female

Marking: Tuxedo

Charlotte is a sister from another mother.  She was an only child, but two weeks later another litter was born and she integrated nicely.  Although she is two weeks only than her “siblings”, she is middle of the pack in weight.  It makes me think she won’t be an overly large cat.  She is very polite and cautious.  She will hold back and wait for others to venture in first.  She rarely lets her curiosity get the better of her and always follows the rules.  I like to think of her as my perfect miss with perfect manners.  She has good litter box manners and eats well.

Casey

DOB: Feb 28, 2023

Sex: Female

Marking: Tuxedo

Casey is a lovely girl.  She has a fever coat so her appearance may change over time slightly.  She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle.  But she will also play and keep up with the best of them.  She prefers to sleep on the bed curled up in her foster mama’s arms.  If she can’t sleep with a human, she will look for another cat to sleep with.  She has good litter box manners and eats well.

Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer run, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization located in the lower Vancouver Island. We are a group of long time rescuers that have come together to focus on improving the lives of unwanted, neglected and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island (as well as remote communities and other areas of B.C. if our resources allow us to.) Currently we are seeing many pets overlooked in the shelter system because they have less than desirable qualities. They may have medical or behavioral issues or they may simply be the wrong color, age or breed. At Broken Promise Rescue we believe all animals deserve to experience a life without pain, loneliness or hunger and want them to know what it feels like to be loved and cherished, despite appearance, age or medical condition. We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
