Benjamin Button

This is 2 year old Benjamin Button. He is such a loyal boy, full of love and always looking to please especially when food is involved! He’s very anxious and reactive and scared of being left behind so he needs a home where someone is around most of the day and there isn’t a ton of traffic. No other pets is pretty vital, he chases cats and birds and he has not warmed up to my cat in the 6 months, he still wants to chase lol.. He needed somewhere safe to stay, and fast so I took him in rather hastily and realized he’s more than I can handle due to my health and financial situation. He deserves so much more than I have to offer.. He needs someone with health and energy to play and walk him. I’ve got him to a place where he roams the whole house, as his crate was just too small for him, he broke out of it! At this point when I leave the house, I tell him Im going and he needs to stay and take care of the house, and he lays on the couch and waits. He has come such a long way in the 6 months that I have had him here. He went from being completely unsocialized to mangageable, (jumping on people clawing and mouthing) this guy is listening and always trying to do what’s right! He still has a bad puppy mouthing habit but has never been aggressive or actually bit anyone etc.. This is fully play activity toward the teenage boys here.. lol. He growls when he yawns and he sounds like a big bear but he doesn’t want to scare you ❤

he’s never had any accidents in the house either, he asks to go outside to go potty 💕

Hes had all his shots and is neutured too! 🙂

This is a courtesy post. This isn’t our dog we have never met him we are just trying to help find a new home if interested please fill out an application form.

Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer run, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization located in the lower Vancouver Island. We are a group of long time rescuers that have come together to focus on improving the lives of unwanted, neglected and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island (as well as remote communities and other areas of B.C. if our resources allow us to.) Currently we are seeing many pets overlooked in the shelter system because they have less than desirable qualities. They may have medical or behavioral issues or they may simply be the wrong color, age or breed. At Broken Promise Rescue we believe all animals deserve to experience a life without pain, loneliness or hunger and want them to know what it feels like to be loved and cherished, despite appearance, age or medical condition. We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
