Jade is a sweet easy going 8 year old lab Shepherd x. She came to us with skin allergies … But we spent the last few months trying various medications and food and she’s doing amazingly well…. She is now off all her medications and on one type of food from a pet store that is duck based . she has had one flair up since we got her with a bit of itchy ears .. we put her back on Surolan and Cytopoint injection and it seems to work great as so far no more reactions and it has been over a month. We are thinking her allergies are environmental so she may have a outbreak here and there so may require a vet visit here and there .. unfortunately we aren’t sure if she will have any outbreaks or if she won’t have any at all .. All we can tell you is in the months we have had her she has only had 1 ! We have had her since August 2017
She’s a lovely girl super easy and gets along with everybody…. Ideally she would like to home where she’s not left alone all day by herself as she loves her people… She loves to go for a nice walks and hikes…
She is unfortunately scared of cats and farm animals… But loves other dogs

Currently we are seeing many pets overlooked in the shelter system because they have less than desirable qualities. They may have medical or behavioral issues or they may simply be the wrong color, age or breed. At Broken Promise Rescue we believe all animals deserve to experience a life without pain, loneliness or hunger and want them to know what it feels like to be loved and cherished, despite appearance, age or medical condition.
We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
