Bobo is a 4 1/2 yr old (born Jan 31st 2019) Great Pyrenees/ Meremma mix was his mom and we aren’t sure what mix his dad was.

We have had since he was 5 weeks old from a farm in the cedar area. He is 115lbs and is in good health during his last vet visit in January, he has been neutered since 2020.

Bobo knows lots of commands like sit, wait, leave it, come, and go find it. Bobo loves treats and is very smart, he learns skills and commands very quickly with positive reinforcement. We live in a residential area and we go on daily walks he is good on leash with his prong collar. He meets many people and dogs on our walks in the neighborhood and loves the people and most dogs he meets.

Bobo likes to bark at anyone that walks by his house and is the perfect guard dog. Once someone is inside he is the biggest loveable goof ball you’ll ever meet. Bobo is a lazy boy and is happy with one walk a day but loves lots of cuddles and attention from his people.

Bobo is a food guarder/possessive with high prized food (such as sardines/steak) he’s a very picky eater. We have went to a trainer and he has done well with being hand fed but we usually give him lots of space while he’s eating.

We have made this difficult decision as we want him to succeed and have the best life possible. We have an 11 month old baby that he spends time with but we aren’t able to fully trust him and be comfortable with him due to his guarding. He has been around older kids with no issues. We have a cat with who he’s ok with so it would depend on the cat. Bobo can be dominant but has spent time with lots of dogs.

Bobo also has been around chicks and chickens with no issues. It breaks our heart as he is truly is the most loveable boy and we hope you can help us find the right match.

We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
