Bear

This cutie is a senior loveable boy who came in to care at the age of about 14 .. he is sweet, loving and adorable !!

** Bear will be getting neutered near the end of May and it was found that he has a heart murmur. We have done an ultrasound and he will require vetmedin twice a day for the rest of his life ..

Update from foster:

Bear is a gentle senior boy who still has a lot of puppy in him. He loves his walks in the morning and evening.

He likes other dogs and has a great respect for cats. He could live with a cat and probably become friends.

He likes kids but prefers not to be picked up as he has some soreness in his upper back.

I pick him up with one hand on his bottom and one on his chest and he is okay with that.

He does tricks for treats. He can sit, shake, lay down, roll over and dance. He also knows how to heel and stay.

He will let you know if someone is at the door but doesn’t carry on. He is totally house trained.

He likes to be petted and have his belly rubbed. He will sit near you but is not a lap dog and doesn’t care to cuddle.

He doesn’t hear well if you are talking behind him. He sees well.

He is well behaved at the groomer and doesn’t fuss with washing, brushing, drying, or having his nails clipped.

He eats two meals a day breakfast and dinner. ½ cup of kibble and a tablespoon of canned food, all mixed with a bit of warm water.

He likes car rides, but will bark at first when you leave him in the car.

He likes to sleep on the bed.
