About Tony:

Just a happy little guy searching for his happy, cuddly home. Still young, he’s still full of wiggles.

House broken and content on his own for 4-6 hours a day, but happiest by your side or napping on your lap. And don’t let his size fool you, he loves joining on long neighborhood wanders or quiet trails, and don’t be surprised if he’s jumping on boulders 5x his size, he’s spring loaded!

The good:
– 1.5 years old, 11 lbs, male, neutered, tattooed, micro-chipped, and fully vaccinated.
– Miniature Poodle cross (dad = full poodle,  mom = half poodle half maltese)
– A sensitive soul. He’s very attune to his humans, and thrives with a gentle, loving approach. If you’re calm and kind, he will happily do anything you ask of him. (knows about 15 tricks, and is eager to learn more.
– Calm  and playful at home, happy to nap by your leg if you’re trapped in front of a laptop, or play fetch in the hallway.

The “not for everyone”:
– Dogs: loves small/medium sized dogs, but can be scared of some big dogs
– Cats: no, is scared of them.
– Kids: no, would not do well in a home with young or hyper children
– Barking: yes, when he’s scared (big dogs or children running at him, strangers by your door), but he’s not a barker just for the sake of barking.
– He’s not crate trained, and I found as a puppy he did much better being free in the home than when I tried to cage him. He’s not a mischievous or destructive personality type. He still has his first stuffy!  🙂

The things he’ll need time to learn:

– Still young, chill is not his vibe when out of the house. He’s a social butterfly, always ready to party, so not a boy who’s going to calmly chill on a public patio.

– Can be grumbly when nervous/uncertain of safety. Calms quickly with positive reinforcement, but although he’s a playful little guy, he’s not a very brave one. So, will need help building that confidence, and knowing you have his back. 🙂
