A bit about Stevie: 8 year old Rottweiler/pitbull, 75lb, neutered and UTD on shots. He is sweet as can be, with zero aggression history (in fact, he has been attacked x2, and each time never fought back, he ran back over to me).

His previous home was neglectful, and he was crated for 12+ hrs a day, never walked on a leash. I’ve had him for 5 years. We have always done R+/ classical conditioning to help him with his barrier reactivity, which has dramatically improved to a manageable level. He has not been crated since I’ve had him, and never had any type of harsh “training” like prong/e collar.

He is great with children (exceptionally tolerant to little kid antics and chaos), and he gets along and cohabitates great with other dogs. Due to his breed, I would imagine he’s not fit for living with cats or livestock (he is overexcitable around horses, for sure).

He is very fit and active. He loves to swim, go for runs and bike rides, and is good off leash- though I recall him if another dog is near, because he is still prone to run up to them to try to play.
He is house trained, has never destroyed personal items, and is happy to nap during his alone time. He is cuddly and loves to do whatever his human companion is doing! He has a relatively low excitement threshold, so keeping him well-exercised and maintaining his conditioning for dog-neutrality on leash walks is vital.
