Message from her current home.

“For the first seven years of her life, Dallas was a loving, quirky, gentle member of our family. After some very loud home renovations several years ago, she became extremely fearful and has spent the last four years living almost exclusively in our unfinished basement. We’ve spent years trying to help her regain her confidence, but despite our best efforts, she remains terrified of the upstairs of our home.

She has never been aggressive, she’s simply incredibly timid and scared. We now have a one-year-old, and our home has become much noisier than she can cope with. We truly believe she deserves a quieter life where she can finally feel safe again.

She would do best as the only pet in a calm, quiet home with someone who has the patience to let her adjust at her own pace. She has lived with our cat from the beginning but perhaps there have been some issues with territory, though never aggression or fighting. Once she trusts you, she’s a sweet, gentle soul who just needs to feel secure.“
